8/19 Midsummer Night Enchantment
« on: August 19, 2009, 12:27 PM »

It's available now at Merlins.

10,000 credits

April Showers Enchantment (Rain Magic) is now retired and taken out of the shop.

Pics of the new magic in use.  I took them in a dark room.  There is a glow around the avatar, and little specs of light fly around.  Cute! :

Thanks for the heads up, Astro!

Flame is not thrilled with this magic.  It seems way too subtle for my taste...but that's just me.  I bought it anyways ;)

Flamanar...can't please everyone

It does look nice against a dark backdrop only.  While standing in Crossroads trying it out, couldn't see it until I moved into the grass area.

Makes me wonder if eventually they will have sunrise to sunset in the game ?

Or, like Flame said....it's subtle magic instead.

Aww, they retired the rain magic?   :rain:  :bm:

From the pics above it looks like a swirling mist around her and little fireflies.  Does the lights blink on and off around her?

Thanks for the info and pics Astro!

Now there is another waste of imagination.  It can barely be seen, and only under certain circumstances.

I am glad they are selling it though.  If I had had to go through an epic (7 day) quest, only to get that, I would have been  :bm:

As it is, I can just continue to save my credits.

I have to agree with PD and Flame, this magic just reminded me of being in a fog bank with a bunch of gnats pestering me!!!   :laugh2:  I guess VFK can't always be on their A game.   ;)

I think the idea is a cute one - Creating fireflies (lightning bugs to us here) around our characters. Maybe a little more yellow coloring and more fireflies blinking would have made it stand out more. When I use it, I will think of summer and our kids running around the backyard catching lightning bugs!

Yeah, I'd probably like it alot better if I could see it without being in a dark room.  It's just way too subtle.  Crank it up a bit and make the fireflys more intense (maybe add more or make them bigger), and I think I'd like it. ;)

Hee hee!  Can you tell I've never seen a firefly live and in person???  Don't think they exist in the climate over here, but we have plenty of fog!  Now that I know.

Oh my gosh! You are a deprived firefly Disco! You really should find an area with them and chase them around!

Like Wendy, we call them lightening bugs.....ahhhh, the fun we had catching them...  :)

Do the fireflies in the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction count?   ;)

Can you run around chasing them, catch them and put in jar?
if yes, they count;  if no, nope!
But if you can't find any around --then, ok, we'll settle for those, they are 'magical' after all!  :bighug:
