Well.  Jades host hunt was CHAOS!  Lag city.  A thousand fairies packing into rooms.  Several instances of every room.  Imagine how packed the rooms are normally for a pre-announced host hunt...then cram all those people spread out across the kingdom into ONE age.  Ya.  Chaos.  If you're on the map too long, it's a definite DC.  If you have lag problems...this would have done you in in no time!  :sur:

Oh...and if anyone thinks this was a good way to deter clones...um...they're SERIOUSLY deluded.  Just saying.  :notme:

There are now several hundred of these hats in circulation.  If you don't have one yet, you can probably trade to get one using a VFK strawberry.  The final blast tonight said the following:

"Congratulations.  HOST_Jade had a total of 103 winners for her first HOST Hunt. Thank you for playing and have a great night."

ANOTHER 100+ of these hats in circulation.  If you ain't got one, they should be easy pickin's.

ETA:  I think this is the first hunt that ventured into 'Fairy World'.  That was a shock...and certainly left alot of people out of that round.  She never did hit Merfolk, Icetastic, Splastastic or Open Road...but she went back a second time to Victorian Age?   :??:  Bizarre.  Her first stop to Victorian, she went to the Street...then proceeded to say that she "forgot to turn the game on"?  She then said she would stop back at the Street a bit later.  No idea if she did or not.

I still saw alot of the usual 'parked clones'.  Not a good hunt for that type of thing, though.  Multiple instances?  Forget it.  I was hoping she would post a master list of ALL the winners at the end of the hunt...but she didn't.  She only posted lists of winners at the end of each age...which is a bummer.  Nobody had time to read the names, because they were hurrying to the next age.  Ah well.  Congrats to the winners.

It was an interesting hunt.  At least I can say I was not once bored!

...about Fairy World...I heard some ppl complain that it was not fair.  My opinion on that is that it only takes a week to complete Fairy Magic and if ppl are using clones that don't have fairy magic, well too bad!  Have them sit out that round. If it truly was a new person, they would only miss 15 minutes of hunt and you will be sure they would start their Epics tonight!  It could have taken many ppl by surprise if their clones were just sitting at a room waiting for Host and had no fairy magic on them to play Fairy World round.  I made sure Fish.i had her Mermaid pin on after that just in case, lol.  So, you might see a lot of clones working on those Epic quests this week!

I heard her say that she can go back to rooms that she has been to and as we saw, that also includes repeating Ages. So, if ppl expect an Age to be next because she hasnt been to it and have ppl prepared there, nothing is guaranteed.  She said you just never know with her.  She might even show up in same room she was just at. She said to keep your eyes open all the time and be prepared.

All in all I was entertained...I lost a LOT of times until I finally fell in the right instance!   Was it perfect? I don't think so, but it was surely different and I liked that.  I was there at the room where she forgot to turn on the game, as Flame mentioned in his post, but it was her first hunt experience as a Host and I think she has learned from tonight as we have also learned in how we approach this new type of hunt and how we will play it in the future.

I did notice she spent way less time in Fairy world than the rest of the ages.  ROFL.  I checked myself for a Merfolk pin when that happened, too :P  LOL

Fortunately, Flame has all his pins on his 'ppl' :)

I'm sure there were people who were mad that were parked the whole time in the Open Road and the other ages she ignored.  ROFL.  She also didn't hit some rooms that were not on the map, but in an age.

It did keep everyone alert, and it was certainly more active than sitting for hours in a room waiting for her  :hmm:

I think I'm very glad that I wasn't home to participate in this Event.  I don't think I would have liked it at all.  At least I now know what events to steer clear from, this would be one of them I'm afraid.  I do not like lag, I also do not like being forced into another instance of a public room -- especially one that a Host never pops into.  ugh.

Unfortunately, that's exactly what it was like.  Lag like nothing you've ever experienced before.  The map looked the bluest I've ever seen!  It was crazy.  And you wait in a room...thinking she's going to come in...then another person in the room says they got her in that SAME room in another instance on a clone! :bm:  Uncool, in my opinion.  :uhuh2:

This event sounds like it was no fun. I am all for trying new things, but this seemed doomed from the start. Take everyone and mash them into one Age at a time! Yikes! :heat:

I am, however, VERY excited about Host_Apple's teleporter game tomorrow! I know the line won't move as fast as the ride event, but I love teleporter events!  :dance2:

I'm looking forward to tomorrow, too.  Tonight was too crazy.  There would be a blast saying she was going to be in 'X' age for the next 15 minutes, and winners would be announced at the end of the hunt for that age...and you could almost hear a 'whooshing' sound.  LOL.  Blue blob fairy river flowing into the age she mentioned in the blast.  Ugh.  Tomorrow will be a welcome change of pace.  lol

Count me in on being excited about tonight too!  Well except for that first few minutes of anxiety when you are hoping and hoping that you picked the right porter for the prize...  (where's the "bites fingernails" smilie?)

Anyhow, also hoping for a new prize this evening...we shall see.

GL to all tonight in finding the winning porters; if indeed that is how it will work.
